Registered Osteopath and this is what he has to say: I have been in private practice in North Staffordshire and South Cheshire for 25 years having graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 1983. Osteopathy is a hands on form of healthcare that places its main emphasis on the manual diagnosis and treatment of imbalances within the musculoskeletal system. You check your bike over and do the necessary maintenance and repairs sometimes after each run down the hill. Even with crash free runs your body can take some hammer. Your suspension may be absorbing shock but so are your muscles. This can lead to your body getting out of "true" or "tune." The aches and pains resultant from downhilling span from head to toe and osteopathy can treat all of the joints and muscles in the body.
